So ...
We are going to use a handy plugin called TLDR.
Here it is:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/tldr-cta/
Note: you'll see the usual warning message saying that the plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest major releases of Wordpress ... Ignore it ... I've tested the plugin on Wordpress 5.1 and works fine.
Basically, the plugin takes a whole new approach to lead generation from your content. Instead of interrupting your website visitors by firing tons of popups, welcome mats, and scrolling boxes, the TLDR plugin will actually improve the experience of your users.
You'll be able to add short summaries for each of your blog posts and then embed relevant call-to-action (CTA) boxes at the end to capture email address data, to offer content upgrades, special deals, etc. Not only are you reducing the bounce rate from your longer content but you'll be able to add relevant and non-intrusive CTAs closer to the top of your content.
Here are the main features:
- add a custom TLDR summary button to your blog posts
- add individual CTAs to any of your blog posts that sit within the summary section
- CTA clicks and button clicks are automatically tracked in Google Analytics!
- summaries only appear on posts that you choose, otherwise the option will be hidden!
- embed your own custom forms by adding shortcodes within the summary sections!
- completely customize the design of your CTA boxes and the TLDR button within the plugin settings
- works seamlessly on mobile
It's a relatively big plugin (2 MB), so let's see the usual speed tests ...
Here are my results before installing the plugin ...
... and the result after installing and activating the plugin:
As you can see, it's quite big but it's almost invisible ... No more comments needed ...
Now let's see how it works ...
