Adding tags to your wordpress posts can help search engines with categorizing your content so adding tags can help with ranking your website.

In addition to this it gives your readers another way to navigate their way around your website.

I have personally found that since using tags my rankings have improved, with some of my tags ranking on the first page of Google!

I have also seen how my users use tags to move around my website which means firstly that you have more of a chance of conversions and getting a lead, but in addition when users spend more time on your website and read more than one page this lowers your bounce rate and adds even more reason for the search engines to rank your website higher.

Adding tags just takes a few seconds of your time and is well worth the time!
