For adding Google Analytics Tracking Script:
Now that you have the Tracking ID and access to the Tracking Script.
- Copy the entire script between <script> and </script>.
- Now, head back to your Word Press Editor Dashboard.
- Select "Appearance".
- Scroll down to "Editor".
- Under Templates.
- Scroll down to "Header" (header php).
- You will get Edit Themes and the name of your Theme.
- CAUTION: be sure to follow instructions carefully to paste this script.
- Place your cursor in front of <head> and space a few times to make room for the script that you will paste here. The closing of where this script is place look like this </head>
After you place your cursor in front of <head>
Paste the Script.
After you have completed the above step, Go down to the bottom left and UPDATE YOUR FILE. This is very important, if you don't update, your script will not be completed. For this lesson in Video, please go to this link. Thank you.
