Clickable YouTube Videos - Annotations

Free, Easy, White-Hat

(If this video is going too fast just hit the pause button.)

  • First you need Google Webmaster Tools with your Website(s) verified.
  • All verified websites can be used for linking to your YouTube videos.
  • Naturally, you must also have a YouTube Channel and at least one video.

Within your YouTube Account click on Video Manager

  • Select your video and click on 'Edit'.
  • Next click on Annotations.
  • Now click on '+ Add Annotation' and choose ‘Note’.
  • Type in the text you want to appear in the Annotation.
  • Select black or white for the text and choose a background color.
  • Stretch the Annotation over the Timeline for whatever time you want to start and end.

Now the fun part…

…link your Annotation to your verified Associated Website or your affiliate PrettyLink (must have been created on a verified website).

Always remember to ‘Save’ and/or ‘Apply changes’ at every step.

The next Annotation is the request to subscribe to your YouTube Channel

Link this Annotation to your YouTube Channel URL.

I chose to put this Annotation near the end of the Video.

You can see the finished result on YouTube at http://whiteboardfx.com/ytsketch

I've given up trying to do voice-overs because my voice gets scratchy. I now rely on printed words and music.

Thank you, John. I matched the royalty-free music to the length of the video and I only had the choice of two tracks. The one I used was much better than the other.
