Once the custom HTML Widget is at the bottom of the right hand column, you can then open the box up.
When you do, you will see a text box, and directly underneath that a content box
In the text Box, you can write what you want to write, but its usually best to write the title of the banner in that box.
In the Content box, you will see the figure 1
Click to the right of that and inside the box. Then right click with your mouse and the code for the banner will appear
Once this has been done, you can click save and close the box, using the drop down arrow. The widget box will stay at the bottom of the column.
To move it, simply drag it to the posistion within the right side bar that you want it to sit in.
By clicking and dragging, you can move any of the widgets on the right side bar, whereever you want to put them. You have full control over that.
Similarly, if you want to change the banner at any time, to another smaller one of or around the same size then you can, simply by following this tutorial
Once this step has been done, have a look at your site in another tab and you will see the banner, where you put it
Thats how to add an HTML Banner to your website or blog
