So, the new user is created but how can you log in without a password? We remember, there was no field to put in a password. There are two ways to find the password for your account, provided you set the role to “Administrator”. For any other role you set, there’s only one way to receive the password.
Once the new user account is created, your main admin account will receive an email that a new user account has been created. See Image below
Once again, there’s nothing about a password.
To get the password and be able to log in, you need to check the email you’ve set as you created the new user. Check image above as it shows you the email address being used to create the account.
When you now log into that email account, you’ll see an email including your login details. And as we see, there’s finally the password, auto-generated by WordPress. See Image below
If you’ve set the role to “Administrator”, you’ll see the password also within WA. More on that on the next page of this training.
If you’ve set any other role, then you won’t see the new user account within WA. Therefore you won’t be able to reset and/or change your password at all.
