You can welcome new members to WA. There are many reasons to do this.

1. Do you remember how nice it felt when you first joined WA? I do! I instantly felt like I was joining a community and was being welcomed. For those who have experienced some negative online opportunities, I am sure that being pleasantly and personally welcomed is a real plus.

2. You can build your network. Why build your network? There are many reasons for that and I will explore those later in the training. Needless to say, when you say "hello" to a new member, they will very likely "follow you". More people following you can ultimately lead to increased website traffic.

3. You will meet new and interesting people. That is pretty self-explanatory. There are so many folks on WA and while we are all different, we all have at least one thing in common.

4. You put yourself in a position to be able to help. In fact, offer your help. Say hello and let the new person know they can contact you. WA is a very giving community and I am confident that any "giving" you do comes right back. I have helped others here and have gotten unsolicited help from others who only know me through my blog posts.

unfortunately so do I! It helps that I can still feel productive if I cannot get motivated to work on my site.
