Working with agencies who have already have experience and established schedule for industries closely related to your own is good. They will be able to get your digital marketing activities efficiently running on a small budget.
They should have experience in your niche or closely related niche and also should be able to show their results. Find out about heir clients, their websites or other platforms, the length of time they have worked with these clients. Look out for straight records and not records with hidden details.
A good example is if you run a sports outfit with a website on sport-related packages. A social media marketing agency with all of her clients in law or business management will need to go on the learning to adjust to your field.
I am not in totality saying, picking up a new niche by marketing agencies is impossible. But that you should check other parameters and be sure that they will be able to handle your business.

Social media marketing is not about increasing your number of followers. It may show your popularity but does not account for the return on investment (ROI). It is easy for social media marketing agencies to promise you a huge number of followers. They will show you how they have increased your followers weekly across various social media platform.
But your focus is on the conversion. They should be able to create results that directly impact your business. As such, your enquiry should focus on how they will deliver value to your business. This will be seen in the following
- How they plan to engage with your followers
- The operational plan that will help followers and to buy your products
- How they intend to achieve high ROI driven results.
- The performance indicators they have highlighted
- How they will support your goals based on the highlighted performance indicator.
