Here is what the manual for All In One SEO Pack plugin said about the two boxes that I had you check

Canonical URLs

This setting is checked by default. This is because the Canonical URLs setting protects you from being punished by Google for duplicate content, or having multiple URLs leading to the same content. Google has a post on their Webmaster Central Blog which details the issues Google bot faces with indexing duplicate content and how to avoid it. Remember, having this box checked helps you follow Google’s rules.

No Pagination for Canonical URLs

This option was added for those users who want to remove the pagination from Canonical URLs. Typically the Canonical URL for a paginated page or post will be displayed at http://mydomain.com/page/2/. This option removes the /page/2/ from the Canonical URL.

That comes right out of the plugin's documentation

Here is the link to the post on Google where they talk about this issue. Do not let it confuse you. Sometimes they make things as clear as mud.

Look for the next video on Friday.

Thank you, Bo, for the proper way of setting up All-In-One SEO. I had been pulling what was left of my hair out trying to fix the duplicate URL's a few months ago. I could have saved some sleepless nights had I known the trick to which boxes to check. LOL
Looking forward to more of your training,
Ken
