Okay, cool Peej, but how are these generated or created?
As I mentioned in the prior page, you can key these little meta descriptions yourself OR have All-in-One SEO do it for you.
Within your WordPress (and with AIO - All-in-One SEO) installed, you'll see this wee little "switch" that was likely set because you followed the recommended WA training.....
This tells WordPress to automagically generate the meta descriptions so we don't have to worry about it.
But, as you guessed it, this isn't always cool.
It's going to pull the first sentence or two .... roughly about 150 characters as the meta description (or snippet).
Here is the article I've been using as an example. I went into WordPress and I'm in the post editor function:
Now, you'll notice the text is there for the "meta" Description, but it's kinda greyed out or "dimmed" if you will. That tells us that All-in-One SEO is pulling automagically.
But, wait......there's a caveat and a couple of ways to handle this......
