Today I rented a car but when I reached the pickup point, I was not able to unlock the car. I called the operation center and was informed the battery was flat. What a frustration day to me! Nevertheless, I just have to accept this incident. For some, they can start finding solution to overcome this problem, like thinking way to detect the battery condition and warn the car company. Go to the internet and start google for solution. Who know, new product/solution may emerge from here.

Another possibility would be to look at it from the teenager's perspective. And, expand some of their thought processes...

"My parents make me follow too many rules."

"I'm smarter than my parents so I should be able to make my own decisions about my life."

"Just because someone is much older than me is no reason to respect them."

"I know what is best for me!"

Just a few examples - and, we ALL know there are many many more.
