NO PADLOCK – ONLY EXCLAMATIONS

If you don’t have the Green Padlock staring back at you, then you’ve most likely got an exclamation point to the left of your https URL. If you’re seeing something red there, hang up and call your system administrator!

Click on the exclamation point and you should get a drop-down box with a various Chrome options. What we’re interested in is the very first hyperlink that says “Details.”

Clicking on “details” will take you to the screen shown below. Notice that we’ve got the green light on Valid Certificate and Secure Connection.

However, we’re not so fortunate with Mixed Content. At the bottom of the page is a listing of the resources giving us problems.

The listing is very helpful because it gives the web page with the issue and also the insecure image that is being presented. Just at a glance I can see that in both instances, the insecure image is one that has been specified in the WordPress editor sing the Customize Page option.

So that’s where we go to fix it.

Yes, any page or post that doesn't give you the green padlock.

I've learned a lot about SSL the last few days... this gives me also a nice overview how to try to fix it - thank you! :)

I had one site that just flipped right over, no problems. Another I had to track down these two errors. Guess that's not bad. From what I hear and read, the installation fixes most of them.

I had to remove a banner, but I added a Plugin before. Would be worth a try without a Plugin...
Thanks again, Gerlinde
