Using these two WA features cuts the work down massively. When all these were coming to you via emails you had to open the email, then read it and then delete it.

With Notifications you open, read, arrow back and you're on the next notification. A very smooth operation for smooth operators. No need to manually delete.

With Activities you can look at the items' title and make a decision if you want to read it. If you don't you just move on; no deleting. Later on if you see the item again you can change your decision and read it but it isn't left in you email account to take up room.

You can decide on the training you want and the questions you might be able to answer. And boy that last one is important. A lot of people go to a question, leave a comment not an answer and then go on to another item. This moves the question to the answered category even if no answer has ever been given. Using Activities the question remains on the list and can still attract answers.

And the best result of doing this is you are very unlikely to overload your email account.

This got lumped in my ' too much to read ' category. Since both Keith and I comment on stuff at WA we forward all emails away from us to our junk account in a special category there. So for the most part we don't see them. We are too busy to live in WA so we just get to them when they can. When I left WA a while ago i deleted nearly 9000 emails.

Now I don't need to delete any of them. The activities stay in the list and the notifications disappear when read. And I can make my mind up when I do the reading and my email account is not filling up. Except for the drongo FBers who insist on telling me everything they do. Don't read these but it takes a bit of time to sort out. Unfortunately one is my brother so I need to be a bit tactful about letting him know I don't want so many. Actually I am not being tactful. I just disagree with most things he says. Hopefully he will get the message.

That was my original problem so I ignored them. I am sure glad I decided to tackle them.

Thank you so much, Helen. That was very informative. I actually followed along on another screen for each lesson. I have already cut down on emails I receive but the rest of the training was all new. This will save so much time I can't believe it. Rick

Basically I only get the Webinar announcements and reminders by email. A piece of cake to control.
