In the first part of the html code, on the second line, where you see the word "gold", this can be changed to any color you like.
Make sure there are no spaces between the word, you need to embed your color word directly between the colon and semicolon (no spaces).
You can use words like light and dark but bright didn't work, it just came out white. I would not advise to play around with any other html variables unless you know what you doing.
So add your color as described like this:
background-color:lightblue;
So take out "gold" and insert "lightblue" or "darkgreen" whatever suits your website theme. I chose yellow because it blends in nicely with my theme and stands out to visitors.
Please click on the next page to see how to insert the CSS code. →

Hi thanks for posting this it's great, so easy to understand :)
I need one of these on my side bar and have been taking notes so far. I plan to add one soon.
Is there a double opt-in feature that protects against spam? where the customer has to go through proving they are 'human' etc.
I'm so illiterate with doing things like this I have no clue. I did see Marion's tutorial about a month ago and asked if the Easy Sign Up plugin has the double opt-in feature but didn't get an answer so I left it.
Also is this plugin free?
Thanks!
