As an example:
If you are writing about Dogs you might have a sentence about walking dogs. “when walking your dog make sure to use an appropriate <a href=“#collar”>dog collar</a>." Then place the anchor where you want the reader to start reading. For instance: "The <a name=“collar”></a> collar can take the form of…"
If you want the reader to jump to a new page you need to replace “anchor” with the full url of the page you want to take the reader to. Use the form: <a href=“html://Page 2.com/filename.html#anchor”>link text</a>.

I like your attitude and your training. I am not ready yet for links(?) but when the training gets to that area, this training will be valuable. Right now my website is sitting lower then the Titanic in the sea of unnoticed. so I have to work on that first. Best wishes.
