Tweet useful tips

Tips are very popular on Twitter and can be used whether you sell products or offer a service. The two most common methods of sending tips are:

1. A tweet with a link to a list of tips (from your blog/website or someone else's)

2. A single tip in the tweet

Some people do a week/fortnight/month of tips on a particular topic. Examples I have seen include:

  • A daily marketing tip (30/31 days)
  • A daily customer service tip (30/31 days)
  • A daily money saving tip (30/31 days)
  • A daily tip on how to ask for a discount (14 days)
  • A daily cooking tip (14 days)
  • A daily ‘How to create your first website’ (21 days)

Only use tips if ...

You are adding something of genuine value. There is no point in just sending out tips for the sake of it.

Thanks Kyle. I hope some members will find it useful. A lot of people are cautious about using Twitter and it can certainly be a time waster. But in my experience if you plan your activities and schedule it can be a useful addition to any marketing strategy.

Couldn't agree more, like anything else you get what you put into it.
