3. You can’t promote your site on posts or comments inside Wealthy Affiliate:
This is included as a rule but there might be a need for us to remember it. There are appointed places to share your site inside Wealthy Affiliate. One of them is on your own profile. And another place could be on posts where you ask for comments or feedback. But sharing the URL of your site everywhere inside the community might not be a very good practice.
Here are just some examples and a way around them to obtain exactly the same results. New member might write a blog post saying, hey I just wrote a post, please take a look at it and leave me some comments, here is the URL. Instead of doing this, you might go to SiteComments (by clicking here) if you want comments or SiteFeedback (by clicking here) if you want feedback. Just as a reminder, to use SiteComment or SiteFeedback, your site must be hosted inside Wealthy Affiliate. In case you have your sites hosted outside Wealthy Affiliate, you can still receive comments clicking here or feedback, clicking here.
Another example where I commonly see people sharing there URLs is in Live Chat, also asking for comments or feedback.
I believe we must always be kind. If somebody requests a comment or feedback outside the appointed places, we could still help them with there requirement, but in a very nice way point them to the right place for future occasions. :)
There are still occasions when I believe you can share your URL: When you have an issue on your site and you want other member to take a look at it so that they may help you. I have even seen member trying to help others with issues on their site asking for there URLs, and I believe that is ok. I also believe you can share the URL to a specific post on your site when somebody has a question and you have a post that answers that question. What do you think? – I would greatly appreciate a comment if you think different.
These are just recommendations that I have seen given inside the community and I believe they are useful. If you disagree, I would greatly appreciate your comments. If you have any additional recommendations, I would also like to hear from you. :)
Let us keep contributing with our interactions to this awesome platform. Doing so, directly benefits us. I’m grateful I found Wealthy Affiliate and I know I’m not the only one that thinks this way. I’m sure none of us would like to do anything that breaks the harmony inside the community. :)
Thanks for taking the time to properly layout a constitution of sorts to assist with maintaining respect and order.
Your suggestions are very fair and practical.
Al the best!
