2. Live Chat is in English:
Live Chat is a place to hang around and talk to fiends inside the community. It also is a place where a quick question might be asked. But due to diverse reasons, other languages some times come up on Live Chat. Live Chat should be in English, and there are quite a few reasons. I just may mention one of them: If a new member joins Wealthy Affiliate and goes to Live Chat and finds a group of people talking Spanish, another group talking French and a third group talking Mandarin, he might feel he’s not quite welcome at Wealthy Affiliate. If we all have a common language, let us use it in the common areas. :)
To keep Wealthy Affiliate as awesome as it's today, a good recommendation would be to only write English in the Live Chat. I have commonly seen occasions when people join the community (usually as free members) and they come to Live Chat and ask for direction in Spanish. We could be very polite and tell that new member that Live Chat is in English and that if he o she wants help they can come to our profile and we would happily help them in Spanish (if it’s the case). Here is a useful idea that a very dear member gave me on how to answer when this occurs:
El idioma utilizado en el Chat en vivo es Inglés / Live chat is in English
Por favor, ven a mi perfil (enlace) / Please come to my profile (link)
Allí te puedo ayudar en Español / I can help you in Spanish
Thanks for taking the time to properly layout a constitution of sorts to assist with maintaining respect and order.
Your suggestions are very fair and practical.
Al the best!
