There are many different ways to create your business card.

For professionally printed business cards, type "business cards" into you search bar. You will find dozens of card offers from dozens of companies. I will not recommend any company, but the names that are familiar are good.

Local printing companies tend to be more expensive than online companies, but there are some advantages to using local printers.

  • They offer advice.
  • You can preview the card prior to printing.
  • They are fast.
  • You are supporting a local business.
  • Staff may become WA referrals.
  • Staff may use your site.

Do It Yourself

There are online programs that allow your to create and print business cards.

Microsoft office has business card templates.

Pages for MAC allows you to create you own cards.

Creating your own cards can be cheaper and faster than any of the other options but the quality may suffer.

  • Get your formatting exactly right. A fraction of an inch off center can look bad.
  • Print on high quality stock. Often business card stock is not the best.
  • Have you cards printed with a professional photocopier. The difference between a home photo copy and a professional one can be dramatic.
  • Cut you cards. Cards separated by perforations always look like cards separated by perforations.

How you produce your business cards is as important as the content on the card.

Once you have your cards, use them.

Business cards are a must! I used an online site and am happy with the way they look but may consider a local printer the next time.
