Go to Digg.
In the Upper Right Corner there is a Sign in button. Hover over this and a dropdown will appear. It contains Twitter and Facebook. You can log in using either of these accounts. I chose Twitter.
When you have filled in your login information click on Authorize app.
Now to get to the submit page.hover over your name in the upper Right corner and hit Account Settings in the drop down. This will take you to your Digg Account settings.
Scroll Down to the bottom of the page.
Click on Submit a link.
In the window that comes up, type in your URL. Include the http://
Then hit submit.
You have just submitted your new post or article to Digg.

Now that Digg has, to all intents and purposes, gone what would be a good alternative use this technique on?

I didn't realize it was so easy. I have been focusing on Facebook, Twitter and Google + this was on the to do list. Thanks - easy to follow.

Great tutorial Craig! I remember Jay doing this a while back in a Wabby and I have been doing it ever since. Not sure if it makes a difference one way or another, but I leave a comment on my Reddit post as well, and use anchor text pointing back to my original url.
