Setting Up Your Affiliate Program
This section offers you a step-by-step guide on setting up your very own affiliate program with AffiliateWP.
- Having activated the plugin, you will proceed to customizing the settings to suit your needs. If you want to install add-ons now or later, you can enable integrations and also other supported plugins
- To give visitors the ability to sign up as affiliates, simply insert the shortcodes for registration forms
- After you have published the forms, any visitors to your website will be able to view the forms
- AffiliateWP includes a page titled Affiliate Area which displays the forms – the sign up and login forms
- This is where AffiliateWP empowers you to define which of the forms to display in the auto-created affiliate area page
- There are a number of other shortcodes that are featured in AffiliateWP that enable tracking of affiliates' performance and earnings. You can post this shortcode in any areas you find convenient for you or your affiliates
- After setting up registration and login pages, you are now ready to start receiving visitors and new affiliates. From your affiliate backend, you can view the status of all affiliates that have signed up for your program. You will see those which are pending, rejected, and also view other details such as earnings
- From the settings, you can enable email notifications whenever someone signs up for your program. You can offer promotional tools to affiliates such as banner images, graphics, and text links. From your dashboard, you can make creatives available through which you can add images or text links
- These creatives can be accessed by your affiliates from their front-end dashboard area. You can also configure settings such as currency type and referral rates, registration forms, and creatives. Included in the reports section are details about payments, and the section to view performance results for your affiliate program
- On the reports screen, you can generate performance results for each affiliate participating in your program
- You can export the website visits generated by your affiliates into Excel
- Once you’re done with the setup, you can keep up with the listing of your products and services.
You have the General Payout file tool for creating CSV files that contain payment details. This file can then be imported into your preferred payment processor, which is PayPal in this case.

Hi Israel, and thanks for such great info. I'm offering a kind of service on my site, and I've thought about having an affiliate program. I'm not ready for it yet, so I didn't start looking for info in that direction. Your training however solves the problem of searching elsewhere when the appropriate time comes.
I saw the different plans. But I was also interested in the frequency/periodicity of those plans, which I didn't get from the training.
Are the plans monthly, yearly or one-time?
Thank you.
