What is the Ads.txt file?
With the Ads.txt file, publishers can indicate who may sell advertisements on their website. This is an initiative of IAB Tech Lab, a non-profit organization that focuses on improving digital advertising standards.
Why is the Ads.txt file important?
Advertising fraud costs millions of dollars in damage to online advertisers and publishers every year. Attackers are constantly trying to fool advertising platforms with domain spoofing, fake clicks, fake impressions, and more.

Thanks for the great post Loes! One of my site had this issue but it it's an SBI site not a Wordpress one. Conceptually they are similar to work with. I had been looking for a fix concerning this issue. As I checked today wanting to work on the issue, oddly enough it seems the problem solved itself. I received another email recently from Adsense saying changes were made to the ads and sure enough now there are bolder, brighter and modern looking ads on my pages.
It's all a bit perplexing sometimes.....
