First you will want to uninstall and delete the Akismet plug in.

Go to your Dashboard > Installed Plug Ins >

You will now be on your installed plug ins page.

Find the plug in and click deactivate

Then click delete and this plug in will be gone.

Thanks for the tip Shawn, I was actually thinking about this actually, because supposedly the free version of Akismet is only for personal use. Always found that pretty strange. Will definitely give Antispam Bee a go :)
