3. Set up a Hire Me Page
Creating a Hire Me page might sound new to you, but it’s instrumental in marketing your freelancing business. I’ve had a direct experience of using a Hire Me page, and it revolutionized the whole game.
I never knew that a couple of unique visitors could fetch potential customers all because I set up a Hire Me page on my blog. All you need to do is set up a page, write the info about your freelancing service, and trigger a call-to-action (CTA) to drive readers to your Hire Me page. It’s done.
4. Repurpose Your Content
Content repurposing simply means modifying a piece of content or its format and making it available on another platform. For instance, you can turn a post into an Instagram image, using just the main points in the blog post. One of the ways I repurpose my blog content is republishing already-published blog content on platforms like LinkedIn and Medium.
Both LinkedIn and Medium allow republishing – which means you don’t have to publish fresh, unique, or original content on those platforms. Imagine it! You republish your already-published blog content on LinkedIn and Medium, and it goes skyrocketing on any of those platforms! In as much as you’re consciously marketing your freelancing career, your bio and profile must be speaking about your freelance writing service.
5. Write Guest Posts
Guest blogging is the most underrated tactic for getting prospective freelance writing clients. Most bloggers and SEO specialists write guest posts for rankings instead of building bonds with other people. Besides writing blog posts, guest blogging is my next favorite marketing tactic for getting clients.
I’ve written for so many clients who just saw one or more of my guest posts on authority blogs. I always find it hard to see why most people don’t realize this; if you’re offered a guest posting opportunity on a blog, it simply means you’re given an opportunity to speak, engage and captivate people.
