2. Create Your Service (Gig)

Now, that you’ve concluded on what to sell, it’s high time you created your first Gig. Keep your Gig title concise but compelling and thoughtfully select your words for it. Here are tiny examples of how your Gig title should look like.

  • I will create a business plan to help you find the job of your dreams.
  • I will create 5 beautiful Instagram graphics for you in 1 day.
  • I will write a 3000+ words SEO article for you in your specialty.
  • I will audit your site SEO in 24 hours.

3. Create Your Gig Image

If you take a careful look at most Gigs on this platform, you’ll find that some graphics look more awesome than others. Get inspired by those beautiful images and come up with something identical. Canva is one of the best graphic design platforms you can leverage to create a captivating image for your Gig. Or perhaps you can hire a graphic design expert on Fiverr to do that for you.

Whichever way you go, just ensure the image looks like a professional one – that will stand as the window to your shop.

4. Write Your Gig Description

Have a good look at other people’s descriptions to find out how you’ll come up with an ideal description for your Gig. This is a crucial part of setting up your Gig and I believe you want it done awesomely. So, do it thoughtfully. Do not rush on it. Your Gig description is what determines whether someone will buy a service from you or try somebody else to have it done.

Sell your skills. Craft a phlegmatic description that triggers the client to trust you on completing assignments within the stipulated time. Imagine that you’re a client and ask yourself this question, would you buy a service from someone like you?

Thanks Israel another excellent tutorial. Fiverr is an excellent platform to earn money. We have to be professionals in a certain activity. We will surely have competition. Thank you!

Exactly, my friend Claudio! The competition is high even though we need to sound professional, look professional, and act professionally to make a lot of sales on Fiverr. Plus, you need to promote your Gigs to increase its visibility in Fiverr search results. Above all, Fiverr is a great marketplace to sell personal services or products. Thanks for leaving a thought!

Thank you Israel for your in-depth explanation of how to 'get a gig' at Fiverr. I'm glad you added 'and beyond' to the title though. Sometimes those of us who live in 'the beyond' feel like those in the USA don't realise 'the beyond' exists. Jim

You're most welcome, my friend, Jim. Honestly, you have said it all. The discrimination is generally high, but it's good to know that Fiverr is meant for all locations of the world. Anyone can sell on Fiverr without restrictions and the affiliate program too is open to all. All that matters is being able to do things professionally and genuinely. People love dealing with those that sound genuine to them. Thanks for leaving a thought! Much appreciated!

Israel, I have a Fiverr account in which I selll my music services. Your description is so accurate. It is an easy platform to work on, and getting paid is easy. I would just add that there is a resolution center in case there is an issue with clients. In addition you have to keep promoting your gig in order to get more business. Good review !!!!

That's awesome, Joy. Thanks so greatly for these amazing additions and contributions! You are highly cherished, my friend. Having the knowledge of the resolution center was one of the reasons a friend of mine decided to try it out a couple of years ago and he's rocking Fiverr seriously now. Yes, promoting one's gigs is just like promoting one's blog. No one will find it without promoting it. Your contributions are duly appreciated.
