Hi Jada, interesting points. Sometimes I wonder if my domain name is right, though I feel in my gut that it is and I can't change it now even if I wanted to. The name is 'zestforever' (not allowed to put a link in ) and it is about plant based eating and fitness, so basically in the health niche.
The thing is, there are huge websites out there that seem to have domain names that are seemingly random and unrelated to their niche, but they have built themselves up to high authority by branding themselves (usually through hard work), would you agree? Not only that, but I think these days with the saturated domain name market you will have a hard job to even find a niche related brand name that isn't taken already, especially one that's brandable - it's hard :-)

Yes there are many domain names that are well branded and are now household names such as Facebook, Apple and a like.
I was more referring to domain names that have no relation to a niche such as a health niche with a name so far removed, where visitors will visit for a totally unrelated reason and then click away because the website did not contain the information that they were looking for.
