3. Website Design
Your website is a very important tool to have. Many affiliate programs will require you to have a website before approving you to their program.
You will need to plan the design of your website from:
- Domain name
- Website layout
- Content
- Colour scheme
- Logo
- User Experience
Human being are very visual and having a website that is hard to use and is too busy will only turn potential customers away at the first glance.
Far too often new affiliate will put as much bells and whistles on their website and this only takes away from the content that you have on your website.
Imagine trying to read content with flashing images all over the page, and so many ads that it is hard to see where the actual content is.
Even is the website contains good quality content, this will be hard to find if there are too many other things going on at the same time.
Visitors will not stay and read your content, they will simply click away.
Less is more and your content is what the most important thing on your website.
Affiliate marketers with rich-content on their website are the one that will do well because their content will add value to their website and this will improve their website traffic.
Having high quality content with relevant keywords and the right information about the product and or services that they are offering.
Content that is just full of hype and not value to either the website or visitors will only hurt the website and the affiliate marketer and will seriously reduce your click-through rate which will mean no sales and no income.
You want a website that will grow into a business that will earn money for you whilst you are sleeping and will keep the interest of your visitors because you are helping them. This will then encourage them to click your affiliate links and generate an income for you.
