What is Communication

Communication is a way to convey a message to your partner, your public, your audience, your clients... the world.

Every situation is different, and needs a different approach too.

We all know great communicators. And Oprah Winfrey is certainly one of them. A master in communication, playing her audience, conveying a message to the world.

Hats of

In ancient times, greek philosophers established the rules of the dialectic method. Ways to build up a conversation and build up your audience. The most famous was Plato. I guess less known by most of you.. . But in his time he was the great orator and people would come from all over the ancient world just to listen to him

Good one, Fleeky. Food for thought. My quest is for that "voice" which would be my brand. You know, I seem to communicate better in my personal blogs where I have no worries about having to market or sell something, where I have no call-to-action. But when I write a website content where the underlying aim is to make a sales pitch, my writing is found wanting in that crucial connect factor which is there in my personal writing. I fail to communicate. So you see, it's as if I have two writers in me - one that is revealed in my personal blog and the other that comes to the fore in my business blog. But I don't like the latter. I guess I'll be more successful when I'm able to train the latter to communicate better as the former :)

Good evening,

Best wishes for 2018

What a precious remark you made there....

Why dissociate both?
If people like you through your blog, it is your brand.
Better keep same style...

That is what i wOuld do.

I have knowledge of a great coach.
On website, mails and peptalk, always the same style...
And to be honest, that makes it consistent to.

It is not what but how that really matters here

Kindly yours

Good evening! In fact, it's almost midnight here in my part of the world. 11:15 pm to be exact. I completely agree with what you are saying. But when I say I have two separate writers in me, it's not as if I do it consciously. It happens unconsciously most of the time. But perhaps it's because, unconsciously, I'm trying to write in a detached manner, more objectively in my business blog. Or maybe I'm afraid people might not accept my subjective way of putting things in a business blog. Anyway, from now on, like I said, my quest will be to merge the two into one.

Yes... it takes time to find unity and harmony
Be not afraid to rephrase and rewrite either

Good night

This is an excellent example of a good and informative post. Also a bit inspirational because communication with your audience is a serious feature of online marketing ;)

Thank you for telling me...
Yes communication is very important and depends of your niche.

It is hard to be joking when you are serious
And even harder to be serious when you are joking

So each one has to develop his or her own style... and that becomes a brand too

Thanks Fleeky, this is a good thing to think over.
How does one communicate?
A big handicap online is the missing part of body language.
