Affiliate marketing is the real deal when it comes to making money online. It can put you among the top-earning affiliate marketers only if you know how to play the game the right way.

It's one game I know in which everyone can be a winner - you, your audience, and your product merchant.

You might have been in the game for a while with limited or no success. I would love to tell you it happens like that to everyone, but I'm not going to that – not right now, not ever! Simply because you can boost your affiliate earnings 10x if you just apply these hacks.

Please note that these hacks may not deliver instant results as they require a consistent application. So, let's get started with the affiliate marketing hacks that are sure to boost your earnings.

1 - Aim for Higher Commissions

When you promote a product that meets your audience's needs, they will buy it no matter the price. I'm not saying you should pitch a very unreasonably priced product simply because you want to earn higher commissions.

All I'm saying is going for products that pay you higher commissions while meeting the needs of your audience. Let me put it in a much-simplified way, so I can drive home this point.

It requires the same effort to promote a product that offers $1.5 commission as one that gives you $100 per sale. Do you get what I'm driving at with this point about aiming higher?

You've got to dream bigger than what you're currently doing with your affiliate business. Search for products or services that ARE of excellent value (this must come first), and which also pay mouth-watering commissions for each sale.

Imagine earning $200 commission on each product sale, and you're able to complete 5 sales per week! That's a weekly take-home of $1,000 for just making a single sale daily.

When it comes to Two-tier affiliate programs, here's an alternative idea.

Most two-tier programs pay only a pittance on the referred sales of someone else.

However most affiliate networks have referral programs. I can share that on Awin.com and ShareASale.com, you earn a $30 commission for each referred publisher, when that referred publisher earns their first commission payout.

It could take forever to earn $30 from two-tiered programs, so perhaps consider network referral programs as well!

Thanks again, Jean, for the additional emphasis laid on the two-tier affiliate programs! I admitted, you are indeed a professional in this field, believe me. Much appreciated!

It's fine to try to chase high commissions, but I disagree that it's the same amount of work to sell a high value product as a lower priced product.

People are more like to impulse buy something which is less expensive. Buying something more high priced requires thought, consideration and research. You need to provide a lot more information about high-priced products with big commissions. Unless you are the most knowledgeable person online about a topic, chances are very good that prospects will check out other sites, which means your cookie could easily be overridden. Best to not pursue those products unless you really know that topic. People purchasing expensive items will not settle for a book report of information. Kyle actually discussed this here: That being said, I think you bring up an excellent point about studying the programs you choose. Commission isn't the only factor - conversion rate is just as important. As you discussed 10,000 leads without a conversion is frustrating! But it may not only be your traffic quality - it could be the conversion rate of the site you are pointing to. Always make sure to check the EPC on a program to ensure that customers actually buy there!

Absolutely correct, Ayodeji! Social signals have become a crucial factor for search engine ranking, and the major social media actions such as likes, comments, etc, constitute what is recorded as social signals for your brand. Thanks for leaving a thought!
