2. Publish Quality Guest Posts Frequently on Industry Authority Blogs
Irregular guest posting will not bring you tons of traffic – I’m definitely not going to profess it actually does. But a consistent and quality guest posting tactic will help you build your blog and certainly bring in the traffic. It will also help in:
- building high-quality links back to your blog
- building an authority blog in your specialty
- Improving your SEO so your content can rank higher on SERPs.
Most authority sites would allow you to include at least one URL linking back to your site in your author bio, but you’ll still have a couple of those that will allow a few URLs linking back to your blog posts in the content body.
Find a good list of authority sites that are accepting guest posts, examine their posting rules and start writing. If you’re still a newbie blogger and want to build a brand name, begin with some smaller sites and work your route up.
Try setting a monthly guest posting target for yourself and improve your blog rapidly.

I really struggle with the social media aspect. I am learning to overcome my reluctance, but I was brought up where your business was your own and nobody else.
Overcoming that and putting myself out there is a struggle. One that I am not winning yet.
