Be Concise

If your messages are too long, you may not get readers to read such messages. I don’t read too long messages but the very brief ones that will explain what needs to be noted or worked upon. If I feel this way, then hundreds of people will surely do more.

While trying to post a message under a thread, just make it up to a few lines and it will be great and up to forum expectation. Once you can add quality to what you post, it will surely be read by others and you could gain backlinks and traffic to your blog.

Be Helpful to Others

Whenever I create a post or training resource, I always want to be helpful to someone out there. And that’s the original purpose for which I participate in conversations.

I make sure I don’t add links to my personal blog in any of my messages, threads, or posts in as much as I already have two links added to my control panel; one to the most recent posts on my personal blog and the other in my forum signature which appears at the bottom of every post I publish on the forums.

While trying to become successful online, don’t forget to avoid self-promotion because people dislike this and they won’t hesitate to skip your post not bothering to hear you out. And that’s why some blogs are not converting. It turns your blog to a sales pitch which visitors hate.
