Wealthy Affiliate #CaptainsLog: 4 months In - Where did the Time Go?
Wow... its time for our 4 month update. Time sure flies. OK I started with WA in August 2018 and like many of us, I had a full time job and demanding life. I chose a job in service where I can help other get healthy and fit. When I chose this position I took a massive pay cut from 6 figures to barely over 4. I knew I would not be getting rich anytime soon. I knew helping people was my calling, but I also have a mortgage, car payments, student loans, credit cards, lights, gas, cable, phone, etc. And this job does not contribute enough.
So when I came across WA, while actually looking at another program, I decided to check it out. I must admit, I got excited right away. As I started the training I realized, I'm spread way too thin to grasp this fully. I knew I had a surgery coming up at the end of August, so I made a conscious decision to shut everything down and just concentrate on the training while I healed from the surgery for 2 weeks.
I got thru most of the first 10 steps and grew more excited over what I had learned. I have had internet business in the past and I could not figure out how to get seen without paying boat loads of money. I even got scammed by my own internet company by a former insider. $400 down the drain. That sux. So my skepticism was on High. But with the community, the opportunities, the training and the consistency of Affiliate info, I'm really pushing to keep learning and keep applying what I've learned.
Though I keep having Hits and Missed like updating the design of my website because of flaws in me choosing the wrong one, rebuilding back pages, having my affiliate accounts closed after making a profit and wondering will I get my check, then re-opening the account and wondering will I get my old check, to people really liking my niche and wanting to buy more. Just when I think I have it, I get a free moment, do a training, and find out "I don't have". Its soooo much more I need to learn.
This is not as easy as I thought it would be, due to time constraints, but I know there is a light at the end of this Training Tunnel.

Great post but I truly understand where you are coming from because I am in the same position with my bills. I am not working outside the home. My husband is a disabled veteran so we are living on his pension and disability, it isn't enough either.
My story is I had gotten an email from WA and my husband and talked about and I joined and that was back in March 2018. I have made some sales but I am still working on more sales to make a check anyway.
