Need To Reduce, Compress Your Website Images? Now You Can!
USING IMAGE OPTIMIZERS
Due to the user discretion policy in WA, there is a limit on how much space any single website can be hosted in Wealthy Affiliate. A lot of websites use images and wouldn't we all like to have our image sizes to be reduced in order to adhere to the user discretion policy?
Well, now you can!
WordPress provides a vast array of plugins and ShortPixel is one of the best FREE WP Plugins used to compress images used on your website.
There is a significant reduction once the image has been compressed and the image can always be restored to its original size. This feature is one of the draw cards for this plugin being so popular.
Another draw card is that you can have 100 Images FREE every month. This may be a limit, however, if you use it correctly, you could get by on the FREE account option.
If there is enough interest in this plugin, I'll create training for it.
What WP Plugin do you use for image compression and why would you or why would you not use this plugin and what would you recommend?

I'm using, EWWW image optimizer. Someone at WA recommended it. It doesn't give you any free images, though. Do you think ShortPixel is better? I would sure appreciate training on it. Thanks for letting us know.
Yep anything to better optimize sites, thanks for the tool tip, some training would be just as fresh!:)
This is the plugin I use as well...Saved me significant space and also load times improve...A good way to decrease loading times for your website and pages....
As an aside, 100 pictures free is a good deal, because my site has a LOT of pictures, thumbnails, etc. and I am adding more all the time, I purchased one of their plans...
The tool just works!
Two thumbs up for letting others know about this useful tool!
Cheers!

I use EWWW image optimizer. It is free and with one click it can optimize the 600+ images on my site.

The last upgrade on EWWW crashed everyones sites. I had to have support get me back up and deleted EWWW. I will now resize pics before putting on site. One less plugin.

Thanks for the feedback Chris! This is valuable information!
Your solution is another way to get around it. A lot of work, if you do it individually. But what I like about ShortPixel is that it does them automatically once you've added them to the album.
