Clicks, Impressions and Unique Visitors

Starting an online business isn't that difficult. In fact, starting a website where you blog about your passions is very easy, if you know where to go to get started that is!
It's the getting traffic and making money that is the hard part.
Having started my latest passion website which is all about whisky in June of this year, I have posted 29 articles including 1 review. That works out at roughly 5 articles a month.
In fairness I had posted 16 by the end of July which was a rate 8 a month or 2 per week. Not too shabby. And then I only posted 2 articles in August and September. I was dealing with the death of my mother and just couldn't focus on dealing with all the arrangements, working a full time job and being the emotional support for my older sister on top of creating articles for my website!
I am back to posting at least 2 articles a week since October and with my first review going live last week I am hoping that this will start to bring some traffic my way. I am also posting regularly on social media to ensure I engage with my audience.

So, I thought I would share where my website is at with regards to stats so far. Just going off the last 28 days I have had 3.8k impressions. Sounds great doesn't it!
I have had 152 unique visitors to the website in that time. Again, sounds fab.
I have only had 13 total clicks. Booooo!! Not so good on this front.
However, I am ranking on the first page for one of my articles which is really good. I am also ranking between pages 2-6 on a further 10 articles which is encouraging. I just need to go back and look at SEO on these posts to see what I can do to improve.
Last month I did have 26 clicks to my affiliate links which was up by 25 on the previous month and I am currently up by 6 on last month to date!
I guess what I am trying to say is, don't read too much into your stats when starting out on your journey. Work hard, do the research and write the articles. Eventually things will start to come together and you will see success.
