Build your business in silence

Well hello there….

It’s been a hot minute since I last blogged on this platform so I’ll briefly introduce myself..

My name is Tony and I rejoined WA just over a year ago after accidentally deleting my profile in a moment of madness!!

So, I came back and decided that I would sidestep the community and blogging on here in favour of building my business. You see, for me, my priority was to give myself the best possible start. To ignore the noise, the live chat and the blogs (useful and useless ones) that people were posting.

I was going full steam ahead and then bam, a bump in the road!

It set me back a fair bit but the only way to build a business is to dust yourself down, give your head a shake and crack on. After all, it's not going to build itself (AI isn't that advanced yet....is it?)!!

Designing websites, writing content and creating social media posts (not very successfully) have taken time as I work full time and have this side issue to also deal with which takes up time but needs must.

I have been doing it all in the background, not sharing information on here or outside of my home workspace. I like to build in silence, create in peace and give myself the best chance to succeed.

The reason I haven't shared what I'm doing..... That's an easy one. I like to make sure I'm going to succeed before I make a noise about it. Build everything up, quietly go about my business, write my content, post it and keep building. Once I earn enough money to make it a viable business or side hustle then I can share the info and let people know what I have been doing.

Last time out, I told a bunch of people what I was doing. I talked about my plans and how I was going to leave my job and do this full time, yadda yadda yadda!! It didn't turn out that way and I lost focus.

Now, I have control. Nobody knows what I am doing so that when it does become successful I can talk about my business with pride knowing that everything I did, all the hours I put in and the lost nights out are all worth it.

I have 2 sites, 1 has been going for a while but no magic formula yet (things stopped with the bump and I'm just restarting everything) and the other has officially hit 3 articles and has started to pick up some traffic. Not much but enough to encourage me to keep going.

Both have had help from AI to speed up the process and it remains to be seen whether it will work or not. That is all I'm going to share for now but I will be on here more often from here on in with what I hope will be useful, educational and supportive posts!

See you all real soon

Tony

Silence is golden, they say. I too, like to build in silence. I read and respond to blogs here, but I don't enjoy live chats because for me that is a distraction. I like observing and learning from others here on the platform. It inspires and motivates me to keep building.

Best of luck to you moving forward. I hope to read more from you.

I agree with live chats being a distraction. I usually only go on there to ask a question!

Thanks for your comment and I will certainly be checking out some of your blogs too.

All the best

HI Tony

I've just come back after a few years off and lost all my websites I understand what you're saying, keep on building and see where it leads to!

I've concentrated on one website at the Moment but looking to start another Niche specific one probably at the end of July once I have enough content on my first.,

Nice one Darren.
I went for the second site as more of a passion project! I have a 3rd in the pipeline but want to focus on the 2 I have at the minute.

Good luck with your business
