Free Starter Training Does Not End with Level #1
That's Right Friends,
just because a Free Member has completed Level #1 of the Official Wealthy Affiliate Training that they can keep moving forward in learning and earning.
Many Friends who create training here at Wealthy Affiliate, choose the "All Can View" option or whatever the actual wording is.
So, don't tell a Free Starter Member that just because they have reached the end of the Official WA Training that they have no other options except to upgrade before learning anything else.
Of course, I always highly recommend to Friends that upgrading as soon as possible is indeed the best option, some still can't and/or won't.
Some who don't upgrade right away sincerely can'r and would love to continue learning and earning.
Give them the option - Share this Training Video as well as direct them to Friends' trainings here at WA that is available to all members.

That's really good advice, Tony, thank you. One can literally get through Level 1 in a day or two but if someone does this they won't have had the opportunity to learn anything about the many other great things that are available here. If we can just keep their interest a little longer there is a much better chance they will convert to Premium.

That is great advice Tony!
Some starter members are joining because they want to change their situation (being broke or without a job or whatever) and. are joining for that very reason "because it's free to join".
I have seen some of my starter members disappear and never come back because when they find out that they have to upgrade to get full benefits of WA, they just can't afford it right away...
By giving them some guidance to other free training, they should be able to get to a point where they will have built something worthwhile, and maybe they will sacrifice the price of a coffee a day and upgrade eventually!

We should let new members to view our training as 'bonus' to their entitlement. Hopefully by doing so they see the real value of being a Premium member and upgrade their account.

Great post and great advice! It's good for new starter members (and premium members!) to know that there are more options available for starter members, especially when they are guided here through affiliate links. A wealth of knowledge available for free is good incentive to join :-)

You could also mention that after finishing the Online Entrepreneur Certification Level 1, they can also go through the Affiliate Bootcamp Level 1 as a supplement. It covers some things that are in OEC 2, so starters can get a little extra advice on things such as content and traffic generation :-)

Even if they just go premium at $19 for the first month, that will probably convince them to stay premium.
