Hi Everyone,

I have got to a point where I need to launch my new site. I have learned a lot from my previous site, by making lots of mistakes and hard work.

I now have my new site ready to go, but I have come up against a brick wall. I am really hoping somone out there will be able to point me in the right direction. This is going to be another steep learning curve.

My brick wall consists of adding products to my site in a certain format. I know how to add products, however I am unsure how to make them look like they do on the theme demo below.

http://themecountry.com/demo/?theme=Wiral

The documantation for the theme only gives so much information
For example, I want to add this product to the front page and on to another page

It needs to have the excerpt and the button taking you to amazon.

I have used the amazon accociates link builder, but the products don't show up in the format I need.

I have contacted the theme creator, but have had no response, and WA help centre said to write a blog to ask you guys. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The problem with your request is how Amazon handles images. You can't just use their image without using their code to embed it. The format won't show as you want. You need to have your own image of the product to get what you are after. You will want to create a blog post and add an excerpt once you have a product image that you can use.

Hi Labman,

Thank you very much for responding. Although, I know how to get the image on the post. It is more about getting it to look like the image in the attachment, with the button etc.

I have the option to change the text on the button, excerpt length etc. But, I don't know how to attach that info to the image obtained from amazon.

Thanks again

Tom

Given how Amazon handles images, there is not a way to do this.

I have been trying to do the same, everything I have seen points to Amazon possibly not doing this type of ad anymore? I could be totally wrong but I am following to see if anyone else has a firm answer!

hi Nicole -- it's all ok -- your question got tossed out here in the wider WA community and here we are -- it looks like there's a good thread and Craig has provided some helpful tips & guidance already ... and just a small addition, at times, it's dependent upon the theme itself and the various features it may or may not have ... and Jay, our WA Live Coach advises to try new things out in a "sandbox' to test the look 'n feel of what you'd like to create....

all the best for every success, cheerio ... :)
