About to Finish My Race
I've spent my entire life feeling like I've been running a race.
The finish line is death, and you win this race by crossing the line with some money still on the table.
I suppose this thinking came from growing up poor and seeing what living with no money was like. Once I realized that there was a subset of the human race that actually had a lot of money, I decided I wanted to be in that group.
I started my first business as soon as I got out of the Air Force in 1983. I had my first taste of not working for anyone else, determining my own destiny, and making some real money.
I knew at that time I'd never work for anyone else, ever again and I worked hard to keep that promise.
Now I am about to turn 60 and I am starting to really feel my mortality. I can honestly say that I've won my race. Unless something catastrophic happens, I have plenty of money, and I pretty much do what I want (keep in mind I am married, so it's pretty much what we want).
I've been accused of being a workaholic. You know what? I probably am, and I don't care, because workaholic or not, I am actually very happy, because my work is my passion, not something I have to do.
I look back at my life over the last 39 years of entrepreneurship and I can see the role knowledge and action taking have had in my life. This is why I am so evangelical about making sure people receive proper training in whatever profit center they wish to pursue.
I've seen, not joking, THOUSANDS of money-making programs, most of them are garbage, and the ones that should work have lousy training.
This is why I like Wealthy Affiliates so much.
It actually shows anyone exactly what you need to know, and how to accomplish it, in the best way I've ever seen.
To be absolutely honest, I've been wanting to build a similar training platform for almost 20 years now, but it never made it high enough up my list to become a reality. I finally decided to seek out the closest program to my vision and promote it. Wealthy Affiliates is my vision and more.
I've made one post on my personal Facebook page about this program and some of you that saw that post have decided to check the program out.
Understand that it may seem overwhelming and confusing at first, but please understand this one thing - if you don't start eating this cow one steak at a time, you'll never finish the race successfully (whatever that is to you).
I will 100% support those here, especially my referrals, as I am about to retire from my larger endeavors and settle into my retirement office, spending time on the computer, helping anyone here that needs help.
You can google my name and learn a lot about me. I've been there and back and there again. I don't do anything halfway, and when I commit, I am all in. Because I am human, and a total nerd, the gamification that this platform provides adds a lot of fun to the journey. I am a badge collector and look at getting my ranking below 500 a goal that will also result in learning a lot, even at my age.
So, yeah, my race is not yet over and I am looking forward to eating another cow.
Make sure to do something every single day to move towards your goals.
To Your Success,
Todd

Hey David! One of my businesses is in Livonia. Let me know if you’d like to meet and chat.
This is great inspiration for those who are just starting down their path to entrepreneurship, Todd.
To see someone who's basically already achieved the exact same things they're setting out to do who is saying "yes, WA is where you need to hitch your trailer..."
Great share, brother! Keep up the great work!
