hi Todd & welcome to Wealthy Affiliate Premium!

It's all good!

If your first niche site is on photography, for example -- then simply say a bit about your travel experience in being a photographer ... and that lends added credibility in helping to engage with your readers / followers ...

... and you might want to have a look at some 'about me' pages on other websites to get a general feel for what might be helpful for you to say ...

Enjoy this amazing WA journey to success,

... all the best, cheerio .. :)

You can relate to your viewers. For example my hobbies include drones, SCUBA, sailing, etc. I share that and hope others who have the same hobbies might relate to me and lower their "should I trust him" defenses, if you will.

I wanted to add...

The more you share, the more likely you are to resonate with your viewers. The more you have in common the more likely they are to think "Hey, we're alike. It stands to reason that we might like the same things" and the more likely to give your opinion weight.

Thanks for the detailed response. Appreciate it.

My challenge is that my first site is one that is based around making money, affiliate marketing and taking on sideline hustles. More like a review site in a way where I will be sharing my experiences in the gig economy since starting this up last year.

Seeing as I don't have much relatable experience in this genre as of yet, how best to get my readers to trust what I have to say? I guess the common thread here will be my desire and urge to create multiple sideline passive income, all while promoting scam free opportunities.

Eventually I will create a few other sites around my love and passion for photography and travel but first I want to see how I go with this one.

Thanks again.

I suppose you could segue into a why you’re creating this site like “I thought I would chronicle my experiences and provide hints, tips and tricks as I embark on my journey to create multiple sideline passive income steams, all while promoting scam free opportunities. Journey with me. I plan to share these experiences and findings to help others looking to do the same.”

Maybe something like that...

You could then trasition to a more past tense one after you’ve gone through it are are no longer new to the experience, etc.

Oh wow! That was absolutely perfect. Haha. Will write something to that effect. Thanks again.

You can copy it if you’d like. I’m not using it so consider it written just for you.

That's awfully kind of you. Thanks so much. I really like it. It's to the point and pretty much what I wanted to say. :)

Any time, I'm happy to help.

Hi all. So I finally registered my site here, a bit slow as I have been tied up the last few weeks but happy nontheless that I finally have a URL. Now comes the daunting task o

Hey Todd, when your looking for a theme. Make sure it has a high ranking and is comparable with word press. I have had to go through 3 because of conflict issues. Make sure you save a copy of you website with good plug in. I can't remember what I,m using at the moment. I'm on my way to bed. If you want to speed things up go with a child theme. That means most all of the website responds by drag and drop. That's what works for me. I have much more to say about this Todd. I'll be back on tomorrow morning. Please look me up. I'll lead you down the right path. Oh hey go look over my website and see what you think. It is ubetwecanhelp.com my niche is all about knives.

See you tomorrow on here I hope.
Brian E.

Thanks Brian. Appreciate the help. Yes, let's catch up tomorrow if we can. Looking forward to it.

So I’ve been working with a Gym theme actually from Theme Shoppy and I like it. You can see my work in progress using that theme: https://smallonlinebiz.com

I’m also taking a look at a theme called Materialis. I found it while helping someone else figure something out on it for their site. It appears to be quite customizable.

Thanks for your help. Will take a look at the themes. Realized that this seems harder than actually picking a site name. Haha. Want to make it perfect so quite picky about the theme.

I hear that. I’ve been working on mine to make it look consistent on various devices.

Checked out your site. I really like it. Clean, fast and full of info!

Thanks

Hi Todd,
Sorry I have no idea. Not having any problems with mine.
Have you submitted a ticket to support?

Hi Donna,

No worries. I tried using a different browser and that seemed to work just fine. I think it has something to do with Safari. Haven't submitted a ticket yet. Maybe I will.

Thanks again.

Todd

The issue is more likely to be in Windows than in WA. Low available memory can do it.

Try exiting all apps, including your browsers, shutting down your computer, waiting a minute and then restarting (the standard Microsoft fix).

I'm using a Mac and checked my memory. All good on that front.

I just PMed you without an issue. I have some suggestions in the message I sent.
