Blueprint blunders
I remember the first time we were building from a blueprint that instructed us to build a structure that, well, that didn't work. I mean it didn't fit. the two ends of the wall "came together"... they didn't exactly match.
Fortunately, we discovered this reality while we were laying out the foundation in preparation for digging it....so we were able to make the adjustment in advance.
One of the things that used to kind of annoy me when I was in construction was that it took so long to prepare, before you actually "built" anything, Yet, when we didn't prepare properly, it always took more time in the long run.
But you've gotta take care not to get stuck in analysis paralysis Sooner or later you've gotta pick up a tool and start building.
Maybe there's no such thing as a perfect blueprint...
As long as the project is structurally sound, and looks good, the blueprints are doing their job.
olehippiechaplain.com is under construction, using siterubix and WordPress to assure it looks good (along with guidance and feedback from the community).
Thank you so very much for reading my post(s), & commenting if you feel like it.
Warmly,

This is pretty much true for the IT industry as well. I have seen so many undisciplined young programmers who just don't get it and soon become unemployable.
Good blog.

If we just follow the Yellow Brick Road, the path is laid out.
