Start Your Day With Music
We go about our lives on a day to day basis, getting up going about our schedules. Some of us get our children up and ready for the day and then we head out the door and go to our jobs or maybe we work from home now. It's the same day after day. It can be a hectic life but if you are like me it can go so much better if you listen to music.
Over Sensory Children Can Sometimes have a difficult time adjusting from one thing to another and getting them ready in the morning can be a challenge. I would put some instrumental soft music on low in the back ground and that would start soothing my granddaughter down almost right away and the transitions went much smoother. She loves music and loves any nursery rhyme DVD with music that she can sing with.
I used commute to work and would listen to music on my way to work and would be so happy and in such a good mood by the time I walked in, I was ready to take on my day.

Music Lifts A Person Up
Many times I have turned on music to help me when I have felt blue about something. I have always felt better listening to the melody or the words. Some musical notes can really ring deeply within you that it moves you to the point of goosebumps, not to mention some words flowing with those notes! I played piano when I was a child but never continued past the lessons and I played clarinet in high school. That was it. I got busy with other things. But I have always loved music and I have to have it in my life. I found that I can't be sad when I listen to music.
Music Is A Motivator
If I have to get something done, A good motivator for me is to turn up the tunes and that will get me going. It can be house work or if I have a project to work on and I don't have the energy to do it, I just put on some up beat music and it will get me up and going. I can't sit still if my rock and roll is on. Music also helps me lose weight. I love to go out dancing and I have shed pounds when I do that on a regular basis.
Now that the COVID-19 is here and I can't go out I have to get on my Gazelle machine and put on the tunes. Which by the way is not nearly as fun. LOL. I miss the people and the bands.
End Your Day With Music
At the end of the day when all is quiet and you are finished with your daily tasks and it is time for you to have a little wind down time, take a few minutes to put some earbuds in and listen to some type of relaxation music or a meditation that has music as part of the meditation. You will sleep better. Music can be so healing.
