I had someone ask if they could copy my YouTube video (download it and re-upload it to their YouTube account). I replied no, but gave them instructions on how to make one like mine and I want to share with you all.

If you want to see my video first, go to http://youtu.be/H4Yzd2s3TXQ

-----------Here's my reply---------------

Thank you for the compliments!

Instead of making an exact copy I will just tell you how to make it and you can snazz yours up.(it is all free). That way there isn't a ton of duplicates making mine get lost.

Make the Intro Video

To make the animated intro header go to: Flixpress.com

Register cuz it won't let you download without doing so.

Go to Automated Templates. On the left column scroll down and select free templates.

Pick whichever one you like. I used the Cinema Intro. If you used that one it has other color selections besides the blue (several of them have different options to play with). Icy Spin is a cool one; you could put several screenshots from WA on it!

After you select a template, click "next". Then Select "I confirm...." Click "customize now". You will have to upload your images if you select one with pics. You can take screenshots - google it for your computer - I use a laptop so I hold Fn & Prt Scrn down then I paste it into Photoshop - you can paste it into paint and crop it that way. Gimp is also a free editor that is similar to Photoshop (both are complicated so they take awhile to learn; paint will be much faster for this purpose). If you don't want to take screenshots you can probably find all the images of other people's screenshots on Google.

After you get the pictures added, and you select any other options they might have for your chosen template, click "place order". You could do the preview but truly you are just prolonging getting it downloaded.

Once you place the order it tells you what number in line you are. It will email you when done, but it takes less than a minute, so just stay on the page and click "view my orders" after you wait, say 30 seconds.

Click "more options" and select "Download SD". Save it where you can find it.

Now, I made the rest of the video in Windows Live Movie Maker, which is also free, BUT you can make the whole thing in YouTube Editor and this will probably be faster. You have to use YouTube Editor anyway because you will have to add your intro to it and that is the only way (at least the only way I can get it to work; my Windows Live Movie Maker has never let me add videos to it! - no matter what I convert them too!)

Before doing that, you need to upload your Intro video to YouTube. I think you can just leave it set to private and you can still use it. If you upload it and it won't let you use it, set it to public.

After you upload it....

Go to YouTube Editor

Go to https://www.youtube.com/editor

There you will see all your videos. Drag and drop your Intro Video in the slot.

Create your words by clicking on the letter "a". Then select whichever type banner you want and add your words. That EASY. Use short sentences on each banner so that they have time to read them. You drag the size of the banner to adjust the length of how long it plays.

So if you wanted to add screenshots, google pics (other peeps WA screenshots), any other images, then use the camera icon on YouTube editor to upload them, then drag them into place.

To do like I did in between the screenshots you will want to click the "a" to add text in between the screenshots. So you will have an image, then the banner words, then the image again (or however you want to set it up).

You can use the sideways hour glass thing to do transitions in between each slide (image/banner).

====> NOTE: You can add music here BUT I RECOMMEND do it without music on this step, because you can't make it to where it doesn't cover up the Intro's sound here, you can do that AFTER it's uploaded in the YouTube regular editing thing; you know after you upload a video you can click the pencil, the magic wand, or the music note, etc.to edit.

So, after you get the video looking how you want it, click "Create Video".

Then wait until it is done. Go open it and under the video select the music note (audio).

Select a song.

Under the video after you select a song, it says "Favor Original Audio". Slide the circle all the way to the left and now you can hear the intro's animation mixed with the music!

Save your changes, wait for YouTube to implement them, then start sharing your video!

Enjoy in Joy!

Thnx, Tina.

Thanks for this. Myself I really liked that song too. Making videos and presentations has been bouncing around in my head whilst learning here. Yours has a nice style to it along with the information.

Thanks for the resource. I will check it out.
