I didn't even know just how much I didn't know.

I didn't even know just what I was missing, no clue on SEO, no idea on content, no comprehension how much I was spending on advertising for links that went nowhere, and of course that lead to ~no sales. But this wasn't just a few months, this was years. Years of building sites (I have made 7 to count) and all of them failed.

I have been through it all. From building my site off of WSFTP and learning HTML code by myself, and getting all sorts of stuff wrong. To moving to a web builder and spending three months getting it fine-tuned, only to have my site accidentally deleted by my web host, then rebuilding it only to have the same thing happen again (this time he said it was due to upgrades). So I moved to Yahoo Shop Builder; nope. Webbuilder; not. I finally got up and running on Shopify, however I "really" didn't know what I was doing, what these parameters meant, what the script was doing, what my picture size related to. What is SEO anyway?

Well, I had my website, finally. I had jewelry for sale! I had media (Facebook, Instagram, twitter and my Starbucks Gold card). And I waited, and waited for a sale. nothing. Until a friend told me about this (thank you Mayge!) and I was slightly interested (like I immediately signed up). And I started my classes.

I didn't even know just how much I didn't know, but I thought I did! Now, finally I feel that

I can get a grasp on my website. And guess what??? I made my first sale. YES!!!! After 8 years of struggling with a proper website and no sales. I was relying on eBay for my sales, paying fees and more fees, well not anymore! I now have not one, but two websites that go hand in hand. I have a store for all of my jewelry and suncatchers and I have a blog. I will be posting blogs to keep my customers informed on fashion trends, new and hot gemstones that are on the market, keeping buyers informed on how to identify fake gems, the list goes on and on.

But I also intend on making videos on how to make jewelry! How to wire wrap gemstones, sharks teeth, or even how to melt silver into bars. I didn't even think of doing that. Well, maybe it crossed my mind, but I was so beat down on my website that I could not even see the light at the end of the tunnel.

These step by step videos and instructions that Kyle has on starting and building your website is not only very informative, it is essential. If you skip steps, you will lose important information that could hurt your site. If you decide to ignore steps or just click through them to get in the 90,000 ranking, you will run into walls later on. You do not want to take the reins and take off if you are not even on the track yet.

Take your time, go through the steps and don't get discouraged. Keep the content flowing,

use your social media, and learn as much as you can from the lessons. You are not out there alone! Unless you were like me, hundreds of beautiful products for sale and me standing in the middle of a desert, screaming as loudly as I could for someone to buy but no one could hear me. I have found my way to the suburbs with the help of WA. Soon, I will be making my way to the center of the booming city of successful e-commerce!
