Is anybody's niche in Africa or targeting Africa?
Hi. I'm starting a new niche to reach as a ministry and service to Africans and Asian in third world countries. Does anybody have experience in this?
My boys got good care for their battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) here in America. People in the third world are not so lucky. This is one of the 5 (yes you read that right FIVE) Kayonga boys in Uganda who has Duchenne.
Their dad, Paul, has already laid to rest his oldest 2 boys (as have I with mine), But he has 3 more young boys with the same disease!
Their isn't a cure for DMD. And treatments only help a little. Watch this NTV Uganda Video about Paul Kayonga and tell me there isn't a need to help the underserved. He only found out what his boys had a year ago!
My boys and the ministry that I am starting is documented on theeverettandaustinproject (dot) org. I finally decided to focus my work and attention on this disease as this is what I'm most passionate about. Clearly. I'm tired of avoiding it. Time to make hay.

Soon as I get everything together, I'm going to get back into the business. I have lots of problems I have to take care of when I get out of the nursing home.
I have to go to therapy everyday. I'm with therapy and I have to be here for a few more so they can teach me how to put dressing on my new wound.

Yeah. I tried to explain to my roommate that when it comes to things, you have to try to get some help. Then you also have to try to help yourself as well.

The statistics are yeah. 1 in 5000 boys in the world have DMD so that is really sad but true. Harder when it's your own children, trust me. Lots of stages of grief and loss.
