Hi everyone!

I started propagating a snake plant 2 weeks ago. And today, there are tiny roots growing from a few of them.

I am so happy! As I admired the baby roots, a thought came to me: what I have done is very similar to starting and growing a business.

Was given a long leaf of a neighbor's snake plant. I cut it into smaller pieces.

What Do I Mean?

  1. Both require research. I read up a lot, and watched a lot of videos on which plant is the easiest and best choice for a beginner like me to propagate. Just like choosing a niche.
  2. Both require planning. Before you propagate a snake plant, you need to know the best time, method, and conditions for doing so. Similarly, before you start an online business, you need to validate your idea, identify your target market, and write a business plan.
  3. Both need constant care. Just like your business, you need check on the snake plant daily. You need to make sure the water is enough, and it has enough sunlight. Similarly, a business needs you to continually create content, build and engage a community, promote quality products you like, and more.
  4. Both require patience and persistence. Propagating a snake plant can take several weeks or months before you see new growth or pups. Starting and growing an online business can take several months or years before you see significant revenue or growth. You need to be patient and persistent in both cases, and not give up easily.
  5. Both involve trial and error. Not every snake plant cutting will root successfully, and not every online business idea will be profitable. You may need to experiment with different techniques, tools, and strategies to find what works best for your plants and your business.
  6. Both can be challenging and competitive. Propagating a snake plant can be difficult and time-consuming, especially if you encounter problems like pests, diseases, or rot. Starting and growing an online business can be demanding and stressful, especially if you face challenges like competition, regulations, or customer complaints.
  7. Both can be rewarding and fulfilling. Propagating a snake plant can give you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, as well as more plants to enjoy or share with others. Starting and growing an online business can give you a sense of purpose and passion, as well as more income and opportunities to serve your customers.

The last point is the reason most people decide to do a business. The reality is the entire journey is also rewarding and fulfilling. You grow and become a better person because you learned. And also, because you are providing a service to the world. Similarly, growing more snake plants improve my home and contribute to more oxygen to the world.

I placed the cuttings into 2 jars and filled it almost midway with water.

Today, I spotted few roots growing from a few of the cuttings! YAY!!! πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³

I am so happy and grateful that the roots are growing. I look forward to baby shoots growing soon. And I will update when that happens.

The feeling of seeing the roots and knowing the propagation is a success is the same feeling when a business becomes successful. Hold on to that feeling and you will experience more and more success in your life!

I wish you good health, wealth and success!

Tim

Yes, I am learning to appreciate the snake plants. According to what I've researched, they have many benefits.

I hope to have a few pots around the home. It will brighten up my place. And benefit my Mom and me with lots of oxygen and positive ions.

Have a Fantastic Friday and Weekend, buddy! πŸ˜„
