Visual Editor in Wordpress Posts and Pages sorted at last!
The last couple of Wordpress Posts I completed I had to do through the Text tab, which was not great for me as I am not comfortable with HTML. I had been sent a Troubleshooting training which mentioned to go into Users on the Dashboard then Your Profile and the top box is Disable Visual Editor when writing. The box wasn't checked, but the training said to check it, Update, come back in un-check it and Update again. This worked and I was very happy. Unfortunately the next time I came to do a post - no content or menu visible in the Visual tab of either Posts or Pages. I had tried de-activating Plug-ins and re-activating them to no avail either.
I sent a Support ticket and everything was fine from their end.
The very knowledgeable Marion suggested trying Chrome instead of Firefox as a browser. Chrome installed today and Hey Presto!! Everything is visible.
Nearly forgot, the training also advised to always Log Out from the Dashboard area. I must remember to do this!!
Hope this helps someone else.
Cheers from a happy chappy, Jill

What an almighty relief. With all my trial and crosses. This tutorial was
a great help. yet in the first place i searched all over the place qnd in the same spot but did not see it. problems for week resolved. Agony abated!!.
Thanks greatly. What a relief.. What a great relief!!. Thanks.
Glad you are now sorted. It is so frustrating when we have computer problems. We are so lucky to have so many wise people here. Best wishes Jill
Tiggisuccess, Thanks a lot. I spoke too early. It worked only once and was back to its old tune. When I tried your successful tutorial it refused from working at all. To make matters worse. The "Text" went too. I did everything possible then the "Text' frighteningly came back after doing all kind of unchartered gymnastics in the name of trying.
I really do not know which of what helped. Istill cannot use the text for rich writing. I will wake on it tommorrow again, hopefully. I think I should just leave it as it is out of fear.
What do you think?
Good to hear from you much appreciated.
The tutorial only worked for a short time for me too. I have switched to Chrome as a browser instead of Firefox and (fingers crossed) that is still working for me. I also make sure I go back to the Dashboard, click on my icon top right corner then click Logout when I'm finished for the day. Hope you find a solution that works for you. Cheers Jill
