Dog with a bone!

I love to have projects that have a start, middle and finish. In the past couple of weeks I have had 2 major projects to complete. One was with my husband and that was to build a woodshed at the bottom of our back-yard. We live in a hills area that has a high bush-fire rating but also gets extremely cold in winter. We have decided that by next winter we will have a combustion heater installed and my squirrel husband has been collecting wood wherever he can. The piles of scavenged wood are now a bush-fire hazard and the solution - a woodshed - you can always use another shed! David had holidays and we have now completed the woodshed - only thing missing is the door, but that will be finished shortly. Next project to cut and sort the wood piles and transfer them to the shed before summer takes hold in a few weeks time.
The other project was alterations to three clothing tops and a jacket. They have been completed and given back to my daughter. Like most projects, that were not 5 minute jobs, but always great to help out - especially when it is sewing.
The methodical person gets all the jobs done and everything is kept reasonably up to date.

I confess to being a dog with a bone person and must work on being more disciplined to include more method in my day. The only thing in my defense is that the focus gets the adrenaline going to get the major projects done. It may even shorten the over-all time spent getting everything done. But, and it is a fairly big but, I am probably also justifying procrastinating on some of the jobs that are on hold.

We are born with certain personalities, but that doesn't mean that we can't tweak them. It is important to be aware of ourselves and be on the look-out for areas that need improving. Life is certainly a huge learning curve and is an ongoing "work in progress", no matter what our age!
