Asset based SEO – Creating assets for SEO
I thought I would share asset based SEO, then we can maybe support each other's SEO asset sites? PS - This strategy is thanks to Stefanie from Affiliate playbook. It’s about creating assets for yourself to help your SEO efforts. What is Asset based SEO?
Asset based SEO consists of creating a number of blog properties to use for back-linking. What it basically entails is to create 4-5 blogs and add posts that link to your money sites. You can also create and build up assets on other sites such as squidoo and ezine articles, that you also use to link back to your money sites. The focus is on building up a few assets for yourself in the form of blogs and article marketing sites, in the aim of leveraging that assets for inbound links or even for selling links to other webmasters when your blogs become popular. The best way to approach asset based SEO
- Focus on quality and keep your content quality guidelines in mind. Don’t add content that’s low quality and badly written. you want to create value and quality, while helping your own SEO.
- Don’t use link automation services
- Rather take the time to create assets manually
- Add several posts to your asset blogs
- Create several inbound links
- To make link building easier, document your assets as you build them up
- Keep your asset blogs broad to include more subjects and niches that you would like to target in the future, or sub-niches to your main niche
- Have your blogs link to each other, maybe something like, checkout our sister sites or so on
- You can also make a few comments on do-follow blogs and add your asset site’s URL
- If you want to take this strategy further you can create a Pinterest account for each asset website and add a few boards with links back to your sites. The links from Pinterest is do-follow links and you can add a link to the site’s URL when you create a business Pinterest account.
- As your asset sites build value and increase in PR, you can also sell-out links to other webmasters from your site. Or accept guest posts – you get content and they get links.
- Include the keyword that you want to rank for in the link from your asset sites.
- If you have trusted friends in a network, share your asset sites between each other.
- Keep your sites out of link exchange networks, the value might plummet.
- Use your assets regularly and don’t let them gather dust.
Remember - Over time your assets build up value and you can use them for different things, even to make money.
My strategy for asset based SEO
Start building up your asset blogs as your sites progress. Add one initial asset blog and create a post for your site. As your site make money, add more asset blogs and more posts for link building.Your strategy?

I think it is a very valid idea. Very similar to link wheels. Unfortunately for one of my niches it will not work as the topic is banned at the major blog sites, but on average this would work quite well.
The idea is to create your own blogs as your own assets. This might involve you to ask your host to host those sites on different servers for different IP addresses, to make it seem valid. Therefore the strategy might be a bit technical and you might need a technical guy/gal to help. Luckily I have a partner to sort that stuff out. But I just thought I'd share this strategy with all of you.

Yes, I was thinking I read somewhere that trading links needs to be for related items or Google might get unhappy. I do agree with the strategy.
Thanks for the comment and good luck!
