Come on shoppers, BUY something!

About 3 months ago I was only getting around 20-30 visitors a day to my site. I guess I can't complain because before that it was around 15-20. Even though I wasn't getting much traffic, I was making a sale every once in a while and sometimes that's a pretty good commission. Anywhere from $50 - $100 and that definitely pays for my WA

I often sat around and thought "man, I would love to get 100 people a day to my site". That would probably quadruple any sales. That would be some decent money coming in.

Well it's been that day now for about 3 to 4 weeks. I'm constantly getting over 100 visits a day, but no sales. I literally haven't had a sale in 2, 2 1/2 weeks. My payment from ShareASale comes in every month on the 20th and this month will be $181. Last month it was $450 and I had less than half the traffic. That it very frustrating.

Not sure why?

I actually have no idea what it causing this. The economy? Are my posts not working? Low quality traffic? I really don't know. Is anyone else have issues like this or it everyone on here pretty much just trying to make money trying to get people to sign up for WA?

I don't promote WA (in the sense of trying to make commissions) at all. My site fully deals with tangible products like cowboy boots, handmade boots, etc...

I will hold my head up high and I'm pretty proud of the traffic increase. I do hope people start clicking over to my affiliate and buy some stuff though! :-)

Since I'm the ShareASale rep here on Wealthy Affiliate, I took a look at your account.

You could also add some additional ShareASale merchants, like:
https://www.ranchroadboots.com/
https://cityboots.com/

I know you already know about https://laneboots.com/

People are also planning now for their Q4 shopping, and you're in a good place to keep going.

I have a ton of links on my site for Pinto Ranch, I'm just not getting people to click on them for some reason?

Yes, I saw that. Many of their products are quite expensive, and between Covid, the election, and the holidays coming up, some folks may be looking for attractive but less expensive options. Those are what I found on those other merchants.

Yeah, I looked those 2 sites over. Not crazy about the low commission. Pinto's commission is a lot better and their prices are pretty high because they are all the biggest names in boots.

Thom, a sale is a sale. You are limiting your sales by not offering a wide variety of options for your visitors. There's a huge audience that likes boots but aren't quite passionate enough to spend Pinto's prices to buy a pair, so they'll look for something they like at a price they are willing to spend. In this case, they can learn all about boots from you, but then must go someplace else to purchase what they want.

So, the choice is yours. You can focus on high-end and own that area; less traffic but higher commissions. You can offer a wider range of options, some at lower price points. Then instead of "high end boots" you'll be "boots."

There's no right or wrong here. Just choices. I just wanted to ensure you knew your options.

Yeah I know, and I have added options. I have put up cheaper boots with ads to Amazon in the side bar. I have added lane boots, but things just aren't adding up. I was getting about 30 to 35 visitors a day and would be getting a sale about every 2 weeks or so. my traffic has dramatically gone up. I had over 250 visitors yesterday (Sunday). I have had consistent 100 visitor days for the last week or so. But no sales. It's just very weird.

Can you analyze who the visitors are? Where they are coming from, anything about their profiles? Are they just reading or are they clicking but not buying anything?

I mean really no way for me to tell who they are. The majority are definitely in the U.S. (Google Analytics). They visit anywhere from 2-6 pages and are on the site for around a minute or so.

Okay, then let's work with what you've got. Which 2-6 pages? Where are they coming from? Search? What keywords? What other referring sites?

My main page that gets the most visits is: /top-10-cowboy-boot-brands/. In the last 7 days it's had 1,004 page views. I'm guessing that is the landing page and all my traffic is mainly from organic search.

Okay, that's powerful. But is there only one merchant offered on there? I'm not talking about Amazon ads, I'm talking about genuine affiliate links.

On that page? Yeah, only Pinto Ranch. Couple banners, links etc...

Then that's a huge opportunity if you list other brands!

Your traffic increase has strong evidence that your posts attract visitors. I wish sales will come soon. Have you install a pretty link plugin to know when there is someone click the link from your website. A pretty link can give you info on which product attracts more click. Just my idea to assist your issues.

Thanks. Pretty link? Never heard of it.

It i9 from WA teaching.

You're doing very well--I'd love to have sales like that! Don't worry, it will come! I'm hanging around to see what answers you might get, Thomas!
