Is There A Secret For Turning Failure Into Success?!? YES!
I've been at WA for close to 3 weeks now and while I've been here, I feel like I've grasped the content provided by Kyle's training pretty well overall...
And then last night happened!
I decided to look into "fetch as google" and for someone who literally knew 0% about SEO and online ventures, IT WAS A CHALLENGE.
- Verifying my website ownership - ( It kept failing to work )
- Downloading and using FileZilla
- Setting up my sitemaps - ( I had to learn what they are first )
- submitting my sitemaps to google and bing/yahoo - ( They both kept saying "no URL found, Empty sitemap" )
Needless to say it was an adventure!
There were times I wanted to just go ahead and call it quits and head to bed ( 2 am local ), but I pushed through. And I'm SOOOO GLAD I did. I feel like my SEO knowledge GREW because of it :)
So what's this SECRET?!?!?!
It's really simple: Determination + WA Community = Affiliate Growth
For those of you here at WA who are getting down about something that's "too hard" to figure out, use the community for help.
I 100% believe that now!!!
Marley2016, Merlynmac, and the training by MarionBlack ( posted below ) we're all huge helps! Thank you to them especially for helping me grow here at WA.
How to verify website ownership
WA Family, never give up! We only grow when we go through adversity. If it were easy we'd never learn anything haha.
P.S. Everyone on the east coast, be safe this week from hurricane Florence. Prayers your way!

Great Post Thomas! Staying determined and focuses is key to achieving your goals. Well Done on your achievements so far!
All the best
John
Thank you! I'd have to say being able to focus is a great skill to have as well, like you say.
Have a great one, Thomas
it can be surprisingly hard to focus at times too. Especially working from home... But keeping the goal in mind definitely helps!

It's great that you came through, Thomas. I have been here for 9 months (nothing to brag about, many others have been here longer) and within that time period, I have come across many challenges that left me exasperated, frustrated and just angry at myself; why can't I figure it out?
But then, when I do, it's a relief to have spent the time to understand it all. It takes some time. It's all new to us. So, in my experience, these times are going to come again and again until you've become experienced, but once you push through it, it's easier to do it over and over again... :)
Have faith in yourself and in WA. It's the greatest community that I know of!
Good luck and wish you great success!
RDulloo,
Thank you! And yes I totally see how that works now. The light is at the end of the tunnel haha.
Best wishes, Thomas
